Potential Location

These are a bunch of shots of the area that I think I am going to film in for my music video. I feel like it would be good for the indie vibe what with all the plants.

Update: I decided not to use this location because even though it looks nice it still has a large school like feel to it.

Car Shots

The car shots of the "outside world" are supposed to be blurry in order to show that there is movement in the video. I feel as though it would seem weird if they were still and clear because it's rather obvious that they are filmed in a car and I wanted my video to look naturalistic. I feel as though even through the human eye it seems as though things are blurred outside when looking out the window.

Locations

London:

Kings cross: was very suitable as it is very busy and makes it feel more together than an empty station. I like how included it makes you feel when watching back the footage as it feels like everyone there is what makes it home even thought you don't know these people it feels like they are what makes the area more home like.















Wembley Stadium:
This location just happened to be convenient for the whole adventure process of my music video as I was attending a concert at this arena. I think it ends the video nicely.





Underground: This played a small part of my video, the stations and underground is where i filmed only a few shots but I like the impact that they have even if they have to be lighted up from the lack of light.





Lincoln:

The Brayford: This location was good as there was an event on the day I was going to visit along the brayford so I was able to join in and take a lot of shots there. It also added to the journey of going to my friends house nicely as I waited for her to get there.

Lighting Issues?

I was asked if there was any lighting problems by my tutor, I don't think that over all there was an issue with lighting. One day were I had to film me leaving my house it was rather gloomy outside, so I used this as a sign that I was leaving very early in the morning. I did this by adding in a shot of the time of day. I feel like a lot of the clips at the beginning and end are rather dark, I left the beginning as it is but for the last few shots I added in a lighting effect because I felt it was rather hard to see what was happening in these shots, but I didn't want to get rid of them as I felt they were good.

Changes

I've decided that my narrative doesn't really have many shots in and that because of how I filmed and how I can't re-create the scenes that I have already created so I need to do something else. I like the shots that I already have are really good ones and I don't want to change my whole plan so I discussed with my tutor and we decided the best option was to film me performing the whole song from different angles so that the narrative is more clear. I decided that I want the narrative to be clearly about a journey, of self discovery. In the video I go on an adventure with one of my friends so that we can find our way to somewhere new and discover ourselves.
