Research For Website

Personally I don't enjoy masses of information so when creating a website i decided it was a good idea to have only a small amount of information on it. Small facts are a lot better than boring long ones. People like to not to have to read masses of writing all the time. So when creating ,my website I hope it shall be more effective to be using past facts about the artist, video links and small amounts of information.

When analysing another artists website (Ed Sheeran's) I realised that I am not the only one who realises that large amounts of information can be boring and time consuming. The basis of a website is to let people know when the tour dates are, new videos and slight news along with merchandise.

I like the fact that the first thing you see is the newest work that he has created, that's more likely to grab people's attention.

I like the fact that the website doesn't change the dates even after they have passed by, that way people can know exactly when it was coming out, even in five or ten years time.

The tour dates section interests me because it's nicely structured and straight to the point.

And again, the simplicity of being able to listen to the artists most popular songs right then and there and have the option to listen to the whole song or not is rather promoting.

I feel as thought the simple format is the most compelling for consumers and I shall defiantly use it for my website like I had planned to.
